The Land

Cerro Fresco, Hermosa Hills
Outside Jaco, Puntaneras Province, Costa Rica

Perched on a secluded hilltop just outside the vibrant beach town of Jacó, in Costa Rica’s Puntarenas Province, the land is a rare and sacred pocket of untouched tropical rainforest.

Surrounded by sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, this elevated terrain is part of the country’s Central Pacific bioregion — known for its lush biodiversity, volcanic soils, and vital role as a biological corridor.

Home to towering ceiba, guanacaste, and fig trees, the forest canopy hosts a thriving ecosystem of native palms, flowering hardwoods, medicinal plants, and a variety of epiphytes, many of which are indigenous and increasingly rare in more developed areas.

The land not only breathes with ecological richness, but holds cultural significance as part of an ancestral territory once traversed by the Chorotega and Huetar peoples. With its living soil, cascading birdcalls, and unspoiled vitality, this sanctuary offers a foundation not only for regenerative living — but for a deeper, respectful relationship with the land itself.
